Yellow Team Crowned Champions of IECEP KSA-ERC Basketball Tournament Season 1

The long-awaited moment has finally arrived—the days of proving supremacy on the court have come to an end, and the Yellow Team has emerged victorious as the undisputed champions of the inaugural season of the IECEP KSA-ERC Basketball Tournament.

The final game opened with a heart-pounding exchange of baskets, as both teams refused to back down in the heated race for glory.

Bince, showcasing his deep familiarity with the court, delivered precision shots with effortless accuracy. Meanwhile, Gaboy, aptly nicknamed “The Tank,” relentlessly attacked the rim with powerful drives that were difficult to stop.

The match quickly turned into a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase, as both sides battled to maintain composure and dominance.

Ando of the Blue Team attempted to break through the Yellow Team’s formidable defense with his speed and flashy footwork, targeting the Yellow Team’s "twin towers” Sonsona and Gayoba. However, the Yellow Team’s unwavering unity and swift defensive adjustments effectively neutralized the Blue Team’s offense.

A pivotal moment came with the entrance of Tabuco, who made an immediate and significant impact. His presence energized the Yellow Team, sparking a scoring surge that created a substantial lead, leaving the Blue Team struggling to keep pace. The Yellow Team took full control and widened the lead, securing a final score of 71–56.

Meanwhile, the Red Team stood out for their consistency and cohesion throughout the tournament. They demonstrated an admirable presence on the court, earning them the reputation of being "Solid." Unfortunately, their efforts did not translate into victories, managing only one win by technical default against the Green Team. They were solid—but admittedly, “bullied” in terms of wins.

As with every season, certain players consistently rise above the rest, demonstrating exceptional skill, leadership, and impact on the game. These standout performers have proven themselves to be dominant forces among the ranks and truly deserve a spot in this season’s Mythical Five.

As expected, Jerry T. Bince's consistent and elite performance earned him the coveted Most Valuable Player (MVP) award for the season.

The IECEP KSA-ERC Internal Basketball Tournament – Season 1 concluded successfully, thanks to the unwavering dedication of the Board of Trustees, most especially Engineer Jonas Calayag, who worked tirelessly to bring this highly anticipated project to life. This event was conceptualized and initiated to promote camaraderie, sportsmanship, and solidarity among IECEP KSA-ERC members, and to emphasize the value of unity among Electronics practitioners across the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia.
