February 20, 2026, | Holiday Inn, Corniche, Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia

The Philippine Professional Organization – Saudi Arabia (PPO-SA) successfully conducted its Turnover Ceremony on Friday, February 20, 2026, with representatives from various member organizations in attendance, including NOPTI-ERSA, UAP-KSA-EPC, IIEE-ERCSA, PICE-EPSA, PICPA-KSA EP, PNA-ERSA, PAMET-ERSA, PSME-SA, FDKSA-ER, NAMPAP-SA, PSART, and IECEP KSA-ERC.

The program opened with welcome remarks from Dr. Darwin S. Majid, who emphasized that leadership is defined not by position, but by impact. Reflecting on PPO’s 2025 achievements, he highlighted how the council’s collective efforts laid a strong foundation for the organization’s continued growth.

The keynote message was delivered by Labor Attaché Hon. Solaiman Mutia, who inspired the audience by underscoring that true leadership creates a legacy that inspires and a purpose that empowers the future.

Following his address, he administered the oath of office to the newly elected 2026 PPO Council, formally entrusting them with the mission and vision of the organization.

Engr. Kenneth Alontaga, 2025 Treasurer, presented a comprehensive financial report, providing transparency on fund generation and allocation for PPO’s projects and programs.

In his President’s Report, Dr. Majid proudly presented PPO’s 2025 accomplishments, describing them as a product of commitment and collaboration among council members. He reaffirmed the organization’s core mandate—the SPLE—while also citing key initiatives such as the Kalayaan Celebration Chairmanship and the PPO Sports Festival. Though acknowledging minor challenges during the sports fest, he stressed that the event successfully fostered unity and camaraderie among members. He concluded by recognizing that PPO’s success is driven by collective leadership.

The 2025 Council members were formally discharged and recognized for their dedicated service. IECEP KSA-ERC served as Secretary in 2025, represented by Governor Johnel Corpuz, VG-Internal Jonas Calayag, and Secretary Kelvin Cano. For 2026, IECEP KSA-ERC assumes the role of Vice President in the PPO Council.

In his turnover message, Dr. Majid reminded the council, “You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great,” emphasizing the importance of taking the first step.

Engr. Ferdinand Corpuz, the 2026 PPO President, accepted the responsibility with a commitment to uphold the organization’s values, promote transparency, and foster inclusiveness. He affirmed that PPO’s legacy is built through collective progress.

A team-building session followed, led by the OPPA speakers Engr. Jay-Ar Legaste, Engr. Lorenzo Santos, and Engr. Richard De Belen.

Engr. Legaste discussed “Unlocking Your True Potential: The Foundation of Effective Leadership,” emphasizing that leadership is about inspiring and serving with purpose, strengthened by self-awareness through the Johari Window model.

Engr. Santos presented “Bridging the Leadership Gap: PPO-SA Gap Analysis,” clarifying that identifying gaps is not criticism of the past but a commitment to future improvement.

Engr. De Belen focused on “Strategies and Solutions for Effective Conflict Resolution,” highlighting essential leadership skills such as emotional intelligence, empathy, active listening, and conflict management.

IECEP KSA-ERC also took the opportunity to promote the ETEEAP Program and its upcoming online session on February 27, 2026. Engr. Teofilo Bitoon explained that the program is open not only to IECEP members but to qualified professionals across various disciplines.

The ceremony concluded with a fellowship dinner, providing members the opportunity to connect, celebrate, and strengthen professional camaraderie.
