IECEP KSA-ERC Extends Full Support to 2025 SPLE Examinees

June 8, 2025 | International Philippine School in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Eastern Region Chapter (IECEP KSA-ERC) proudly lent its unwavering support to the 2025 Special Professional Licensure Examination (SPLE), held from June 6 to June 8, 2025.

Demonstrating its enduring commitment to professional excellence, the organization was actively involved from the opening day to the conclusion of the examination period.

This year's board examination welcomed a total of 141 examinees across various engineering disciplines and professions. Among them were eight candidates representing the IECEP KSA-ERC: four Electronics Engineer examinees — Eduardo Ello, Shar-Rasul Marrack, Jolan Ricablanca, and Leandro Tan — and four Electronics Technician examinees — Ronald Aguilar, Frederick Cayanong, Michael Lloyd Lumacad, and Jolan Ricablanca, who commendably took both exams.

As part of IECEP KSA-ERC’s continued tradition of service, six dedicated members volunteered their time and expertise to support the examination as members of the steering committee. These individuals — Engr. Jonas Calayag, Engr. Kelvin Cano, Engr. Anthony Velasco, Engr. Ding Costales, Engr. Jimmel Magtubo, and Engr. Johnel Corpuz — exemplified the organization’s spirit of selflessness by sacrificing their holiday break to ensure the smooth facilitation of the exams. They were also joined by esteemed former Governors, Engr. Mohammad Ali Mauna and Engr. Jose Espinosa Jr., whose presence and guidance further strengthened the team’s efforts.

While this year’s SPLE saw a decline in the number of examinees compared to the previous year, the event was marked by a renewed sense of hope, unity, and dedication. This optimism was made possible through the collective efforts and collaboration of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), the Philippine Professional Organization (PPO), and volunteer groups like IECEP KSA-ERC, all working together to empower Filipino professionals abroad.

IECEP KSA-ERC remains steadfast in its mission to support its members and contribute to nation-building through professional development, advocacy, and service.
