IECEP KSA-ERC and IECEP Ilocos Launch Support Program for MMSU ECE Students

The collaborative initiative between IECEP KSA-ERC and IECEP Ilocos to support the academic and professional development of Electronics Engineering students at Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) was officially launched with great success.

This partnership aims to enrich the students’ educational journey by providing supplemental learning aligned with current industry standards and technological advancements.

The kickoff event was made possible through the joint efforts of the respective Boards of Trustees, led by Engr. Johnel Corpuz and Engr. Antonio Delos Santos, and guided by former IECEP Ilocos Governor Engr. Wilson Duldulao. The event gathered Electronics Engineering students from all year levels—from freshmen to graduating students—as well as participating professionals, all united by a shared eagerness to explore the field of SMART Instrumentation Systems beyond what is typically covered in academic settings.

A highlight of the event was the keynote session delivered by Engr. Arlie Villanueva, who drew from his extensive experience in both local Philippine companies and Saudi Aramco's advanced instrumentation systems. His insights offered attendees a valuable glimpse into real-world applications of instrumentation technologies and inspired students and professionals alike to broaden their technical interests and consider new career pathways.

Given the breadth and depth of the topic, which a single session could only begin to explore, the collaborating IECEP chapters have committed to organizing a series of seminars and webinars. These upcoming events aim to further equip MMSU students and interested professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to stay ahead in the ever-evolving field of electronics and instrumentation engineering.
