Filipino Community Leaders (Eastern Province) Hold Town Hall Meeting with Philippine Ambassador Hon. Raymond Balatbat
Filipino community leaders across the Eastern Province gathered at Mora Hotel in Al Khobar for a significant Town Hall Meeting with the Philippine Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Excellency Hon. Raymond Balatbat, alongside key officials from the Philippine Embassy.
This important event served as a platform for open dialogue between the Filipino diaspora and the Philippine government representatives. Discussions focused on pressing concerns and the general welfare of Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in the region, particularly on issues such as labor rights, consular services, access to legal aid, community support programs and their target goal of the year which is the mapping of the actual number of OFWs in the region.

Representing the Filipino professional community were notable leaders including Engr. Johnel Corpuz, the current Chapter Governor, and Engr. Jose "Joey" Espinosa Jr., former Chapter Governor. Their presence underscored the active participation and leadership of Filipino professionals in shaping policies and support systems for OFWs.
The meeting was marked by a collaborative spirit, with attendees voicing concerns and proposing practical solutions to improve the lives of Filipinos in the Kingdom. Ambassador Balatbat emphasized the Embassy’s commitment to enhancing services, increasing engagement with community leaders, and advocating for the rights and welfare of every Filipino worker.
The event concluded on a positive and hopeful note, strengthening the bridge between the Philippine Embassy and the Filipino community in the Eastern Province.
