Unity Above All: IECEP KSA-ERC Concludes a Strong Campaign in the PPO Sports Festival

The PPO Sports Festival concluded with resounding success, showcasing the unwavering camaraderie and sportsmanship among the various professional organizations.

The event once again proved that the spirit of healthy competition thrives not only in the sporting arena but also in the collective drive to elevate each organization’s mission. Yet amid the rivalries, unity and oneness ultimately soared the highest.

IECEP KSA-ERC proudly joined the festival, demonstrating grit and resilience throughout the competitions. While the team did not finish at the top of the overall standings, its athletes showed exceptional toughness, making every match a true challenge for their opponents. Demonstrating resilience and toughness, they rose to claim the Third Runner-Up spot overall

A highlight of the event was IECEP KSA-ERC’s Champion title in Lawn Tennis, fiercely earned through the outstanding performances of James Labustro, Ramel Macaraeg, Ferdinand Viray, Charles Jimenez, Eric Clemena, Ephraim Tariman, Joseph Sonsona, and Melvin Landicho.

In the billiards arena, the formidable duo of Frederick Canayong and Rufino Mabborang Jr., supported by Rommel Roa, Jhun Can, and Johnel Corpuz, delivered an impressive run that brought them to the championship round, ultimately securing the First Runner-Up spot—rightfully earning recognition as top contenders.

The IECEP dart masters—Rufino Mabborang Jr., Frederick Cayanong, Melvin Landicho, Joseph Cardona, Michael Lloyd Lumacad, Mohammad Ali Mauna, Johnel Corpuz, and Jose Espinosa Jr.—mounted a remarkable climb from the lower bracket all the way to one step shy of the championship.
With unwavering focus and the IECEP spirit of determination, the team secured First Place, nearly tipping the scales for a title victory.
In basketball, the team—composed of seasoned IECEP KSA-ERC players—faced tough and well-drilled opponents. Despite falling short in four hard-fought matches, the team displayed remarkable heart, spontaneity, and unity on the court, proving that even without extensive practice, passion and teamwork can still shine.
Beyond wins and losses, the true value of this year’s PPO Sports Festival was reflected in IECEP KSA-ERC’s wholehearted participation and support across multiple events. Our chapter proudly secured 3rd Runner-Up finishes in Table Tennis, Badminton, and Scrabble, while also showcasing strong performances in Bowling and Chess.
As a point of pride, IECEP KSA-ERC also successfully hosted the Chess event, providing an exceptional and comfortable venue for all chess enthusiasts.
The IECEP KSA-ERC remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting the programs of the Philippine Professional Organization, especially the Sports Festival—an event that continues to bring out the vibrant spirit, unity, and excellence of every participating Filipino professional.
