IECEP KSA-ERC Officially Adopts Amended 2025 IECEP KSA-ERC By-Laws

The Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Eastern Region Chapter (IECEP KSA-ERC) has formally adopted its Amended IECEP KSA-ERC By-Laws for 2025, following their presentation, deliberation, and ratification during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on December 12, 2025.

The newly approved Chapter Board Resolution No. 2025‑005 marks a significant milestone in the chapter’s continuing efforts to strengthen leadership and guidance, modernize organizational processes, and align with the broader IECEP national framework.

Key Amendments Introduced

The resolution outlines several major updates, including:

• Title Revisions

  • “Board of Directors” is now officially renamed “Board of Trustees.”

  • The position title “President” is changed to “Governor.”

  • “Secretary General” is revised to “Secretary.”

• Article VI – Membership Fees and Dues

  • Updated provisions on Membership Fees, and Chapter Dues.

• Article VII – Chapter Structure

  • Removal of Section 4 concerning Foreign-Based Chapters.

• Article X – Governance and Terms

  • Revised guidelines on the Election of Officers.

  • Updated provisions on Assumption of Duties and Terms of Office.

The revised by-laws are declared effective retroactively from January 1, 2007, including updates to Article X originally adopted in 2018.

The resolution was proposed and recommended by the 2025 Board of Trustees, led by Chapter Governor Johnel A. Corpuz, PECE, and affirmed by former governors and chapter leaders who provided guidance throughout the amendment process. The amendments went through the scrutiny of IECEP National for alignment and compliance and finally affirmed by the general membership.

All IECEP KSA-ERC members are strongly advised to review and familiarize themselves with the IECEP KSA-ERC Bylaws 2025, as these will now serve as the official framework governing chapter operations, leadership structure, membership obligations, and organizational conduct.

Certified copies of the revised by-laws will be distributed to officers and made available to the general membership through the official IECEP KSA-ERC website https://www.iecepksaerc.org/  for reference.
