The most awaited event of the year has finally come to life, marking a new milestone for the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Eastern Region Chapter (IECEP KSA-ERC). The “Music Jam for a Cause”, held at Drag Coffee and Restaurant in Al-Khobar, concluded successfully with overwhelming support from partner organizations, the PPO Council, and Filipino community groups like Manlalakbay GUARDIANS International Inc., PICPA EP KSA, UAP-KSA-EPC, PDA-FDKSA-ER, NAMPAP-SA, AAA Energies Company, PSART-SA, IIEE ERCSA, Knights of Rizal, Batangas Saudi 101 Lions Club, Community Investigative Support, PICE EPSA, Tropang Waray, AFCSCOM, PAMET KSA, Caviteños, Tanayans, OPPA and IECEP KSA ERC.
The benefit event was organized to raise funds for the IECEP KSA-ERC ETEEAP Scholarship Program, a flagship initiative that aims to help qualified IECEP KSA-ERC members earn their long-awaited college degrees through the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).

In his message, IECEP KSA-ERC Governor Engr. Johnel A. Corpuz highlighted the purpose and vision of the program, expressing optimism for its potential expansion beyond the organization to reach the broader OFW community under the support of the Philippine government and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Engr. Melvin Landicho, IECEP KSA-ERC ETEEAP Director, further elaborated on the program’s details, including the qualifications, partner universities, and degree offerings available to aspiring scholars. The event also featured heartfelt testimonies from IECEP ETEEAP students Joseph Cardona, Michael Lumacad, and Frederick Cayanong, who shared their motivations and dreams of earning a college diploma through the program.

The night came alive with energetic performances from the PH7 Band, composed of Henrix Bayon Abao (drums), Dandy N. Lapura (keyboard), Isagani Tiglao (bassist), and the talented vocalists Andy Baludo and Jenny Antoque. One of the band member’s lead guitarists is Engr. Teofilo “Lodi Jojo” Bitoon Jr., a pioneer and mentor of the IECEP Jammers, the organization’s very own band formed by passionate IECEP professionals.

True to the event’s name, the IECEP Jammers added excitement to the evening with their own performances, featuring Kelvin Cano and Mohammad Ali Mauna (vocals), Joseph Cardona (lead guitar), Melvin Landicho (bass), Jose “Joey” Espinosa Jr. (keyboard), and Johnel Corpuz (drums). Their music showcased both talent and camaraderie, embodying the true spirit of unity among IECEP members.

The event was made even more special by the sumptuous dinner buffet graciously prepared by Ma’am Cherry of Drag Coffee and her dedicated team, whose generosity and warm hospitality added to the evening’s success.
The Music Jam for a Cause exceeded expectations, drawing generous support from attendees and contributors alike—both in person and in spirit. The lively atmosphere was filled with music, laughter, and a shared sense of purpose as professionals and guests gathered for a common cause.
In conclusion, the IECEP KSA-ERC Music Jam for a Cause proved to be more than just a musical celebration—it became a meaningful step toward making educational dreams a reality. The event not only raised funds for deserving ETEEAP scholars but also strengthened the organization’s mission to empower Filipino professionals through education and community collaboration.
